Alley Park
Trail Days - June 3, 2006
Saturday June 3rd was our annual Trail Days work party at Alley Park in Lancaster. Although I was unable to work we had 11 club members show up to help the park staff do maintenance on the trails. Thanks to all the club members who were able to help with the trail work.
Dunham Darlings 
After the work party Heather Hawkins had designed a short score course for everyone. With a short 45 minute time limit to make it challenging Heather set 24 points with values ranging from 1 to 3 points each. A gentle penalty of 1 point per minute for over time helped encourage everyone to return promptly.
Bob Huebner handicapped himself by not running with a map and still had the top score. Of course Bob produced the map and trains regularly on the trails in the park!
A big thanks to Heather Hawkins for designing her first course and for setting all the controls as well as helping out with the finish. Thanks also to all those who helped pick up controls: the Dunham family, Karen Rogers, Chiori, Shin & Kenta Shimizu, and Earl Reisinger.
